I am Dr. Lee M. Faver, an experienced psychologist, supervisor and trainer. I practice psychotherapy with individuals and couples, and behavioral medicine helping people achieve better health or improve chronic illness.
More than 25 years of professional experience working with individuals, couples and groups have taught me that most people want to understand what is happening, develop a plan to improve things and have assistance following through with action. I encourage people to appreciate past experience and then to work on multiple levels to create real change and more satisfying lives in the present.
I successfully help individuals and couples with relationships, grief, life transitions, sexuality, trauma, developmental and medical issues. My experience includes assisting people to improve their intimate and sexual relationships, deal with affairs, handle divorce or navigate co-parenting. Others want help with depression, anxiety, compulsive behavior, and the effects of domestic, family or sexual violence. My expertise includes gender and sexual orientation concerns as well as a variety of chronic-health issues.
I enjoy helping people lead fruitful and fulfilling lives which makes it easy for me to collaborate with you. I am engaged and have an integrative perspective about therapy.
Change can begin in many ways. As we understand your situation more fully, we will give it new meaning. You will develop new ways to think and feel. I will offer alternate perspectives and we will work together to develop an effective plan. Success is more achievable when we identify specific goals, decide how to measure progress, and consider realistic strategies. Success also depends on being adaptive. So we will consider various approaches to your situation, identify potential obstacles and develop sustainable contingencies to help you get results.
Change is always possible. We will work together and create a life you will cherish.
